Sippu Matcha — Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Sippu Matcha, we take product quality and safety seriously. Because matcha powder is a consumable product, returns are more restrictive than non-consumable goods.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy.


2. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

Due to food safety regulations and contamination risks, we can only accept returns if:

✅ The product is completely unopened, unused, sealed, and in its original packaging
✅ The return request is made within 30 days of delivery
✅ You provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds if:

  • The package has been opened, unsealed, used, or tampered with

  • You no longer want the product (buyer’s remorse)

  • You found a cheaper price elsewhere or changed your mind

  • You dislike the taste or texture (taste preference is not a defect)

Once a consumable product has been opened, it cannot legally be returned or resold.


3. How to Request a Return

Email contact@sippumatcha.com with:

  1. Order number

  2. Reason for return

  3. Photos of the unopened product and packaging (if applicable)

If approved, we’ll send return instructions.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.


4. Refunds

Once the unopened product is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or unclaimed parcel, reshipping fees may apply.


5. Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Products

If your product arrives damaged or incorrect:

You must notify us within 2 days of delivery at:

Include photos of:

  • The shipping box

  • The product

  • The issue (damage, incorrect item, etc.)

We will replace it or refund it at no cost to you.


6. Fraud & Chargebacks

Chargebacks or refund claims made under false pretenses — including disputing valid charges after delivery is confirmed — are considered fraud and may be reported to payment processors.
